The Irish National Cheerleading Academy (INCA) is a high-performance development pathway specifically created for athletes who aspire to represent Team Ireland on the international stage. Initially, the Academy will focus on Youth and Junior age groups, providing structured, elite-level training to support athlete progression and readiness for national team selection. This initiative by Cheer Sport Ireland aims to elevate national standards, identify emerging talent, and cultivate a consistent, high-performance environment, preparing athletes for the demands of Team Ireland and international competition.
Elite training from specialist coaches
The INCA programme will be delivered on a bi-monthly basis, bringing together specialist coaches from across Ireland. Each coach will bring their expertise in key performance areas such as stunts, tumbling, jumps, and overall athlete development. This collaborative approach ensures that athletes receive comprehensive and top-tier instruction, refining their skills and building the mental fortitude required for competitive success.

We are currently in the planning phase for the Irish National Cheerleading Academy, with the Cheer Sport Ireland Board of Management diligently working to bring this vision to life. While nothing is set in stone yet, we are aiming for a grand launch in the summer of 2026.
