What is Team Ireland?

Team Ireland Cheerleading and Performance Cheer refers to the official national representative teams selected to represent Ireland in international cheerleading and performance cheer competitions. These teams operate under the authority of Cheer Sport Ireland as the National Governing Body for the sport.

Purpose

Team Ireland programmes are designed to bring together the country’s top athletes to compete at the ECU European and ICU World-level events, showcasing Irish cheerleading on the international stage while promoting excellence, sportsmanship, and national pride.

What the teams include?

Team Ireland may include national squads across recognised international divisions such as:

  • All Girl and Coed Cheerleading

  • Youth, Junior, and Senior age divisions

  • Performance Cheer categories including Pom, Hip Hop, and Jazz
